A B-17 Pilot’s View of World War II

This is the story of Robert Boecking, a WWII B-17 Pilot, as told to the author, who augments his recollections with her research notes and commentary.  B-17 Pilot Boecking was stationed at Kimbolton Air Field, England with the 379th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.  He 36 missions over Germany in 1944 in his ‘Flying Fortress.’  A Pilot’s View of World War II includes the B-17 pilot’s hand-written WWII Mission Journal, a Mission Map, and over 40 historic photographs. It has been reviewed by the San Diego Air and Space Museum and a former pilot, now the founder of the War Memorial  in Austin, Texas.
